AEW Collision Results (5/16/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens up with commentary welcoming us and they give us a run down of the lineup for tonight.
We then get a message from The Death Riders after Dynamite on Wednesday. Jon Moxley addresses being unable to beat Kyle O’Reilly in their previous encounters before stating that he is not the man he was six months ago. Moxley then says logic and strategy should dictate that he should stay away from O’Reilly because there is no doubt O’Reilly has his number. Moxley then says this Continental Championship is a good bait to slay the dragons coming to his door. Moxley then says he is going to continue surviving the way he knows how by finding a way.
Moxley then walks off before Claudio Castagnoli addresses facing Brody King in the Owen Hart Tournament: Castagnoli says King brings the bark, but he’d better bring the bite when they face off. PAC then says there are no special favorites and that it is them against the world. Daniel Garcia then agrees and Marina Shafir tells their foes to bring it.
The Conglomeration then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Shane Taylor Promotions follow.
AEW World Trios Championship Eliminator Match: The Conglomeration (AEW World Trios Champions “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly and Mark Briscoe) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (ROH Pure Champion “TAIGASTYLE” Lee Moriarty, “Bad News & Tattoos” Carlie Bravo and Capt. Shawn Dean)
The match starts off with Carlie Bravo and Mark Briscoe and they go at each other until Bravo takes control. Briscoe then manages to turn it around long enough for a tag to O’Reilly. Moriarty then tags in as well and they exchange holds until O’Reilly gets Moriarty down for a near fall. Moriarty then turns things around as he hits the ropes for a sunset flip, but O’Reilly goes for an armbar on the counter. Moriarty then breaks free, but O’Reilly quickly cinches in an ankle lock. Moriarty then manages to break free, but is sent to the corner where O’Reilly hits some mounted punches before tagging in Briscoe.
Briscoe then hits some shots of his own before tagging in Cassidy, who hits one shot for good measure. A tag is then made to Dean, who eggs Cassidy on to put his hands in his pockets. Cassidy then obliges and takes Dean down with a dropkick, keeping Dean off his game. Bravo then comes running in for an assist, but to no avail. Dean and Bravo then each get sent into the turnbuckle before Moriarty pulls Cassidy off the apron. O’Reilly and Briscoe then have it out with him over this as The Infantry take out Cassidy and Taylor hits a big leg drop with the referee distracted, keeping him down.
Dean lays it into Cassidy in the corner before making a tag to Bravo. Cassidy then struggles as he is pulled away from his corner and he finally kicks Bravo away, but Moriarty gets a tag and keeps him from doing the same. Abdominal stretch by Lee, with an assist from the rest of STP until the referee catches them. Cassidy then manages to break free when Moriarty is forced to let go of the ropes and O’Reilly gets the tag. He then sends Moriarty to the corner for a knee and sends Moriarty to the mat for a kick and a cover. He then gets a near fall and immediately goes for an armbar before STP break it up. Dean with the tag now and he takes O’Reilly down hard for a two count.
Bravo then comes in for a double team, but O’Reilly takes them down with a knee as Briscoe gets back on the apron and he gets the tag. He then unloads on The Infantry before setting up Bravo for a Jay Driller. Bravo then breaks free and sends him to the ropes, where STP keep him at bay before Cassidy stops it with a dive. Briscoe then gets a chair and looks for a big dive of his own before Taylor stops him, only to take an Orange Punch from Cassidy. This then allows O’Reilly to hit a knee and Briscoe to hit a dive he wanted, bringing Dean back into the ring for a Froggy Bow and the Jay Driller for the win.

They then trade offense until Bowens takes Johnson down with a side headlock takeover, but Johnson fights back forcing Bowens to the corner. He then runs Bowens down and this riles Bowens up, who turns things around with some shots in the corner until he sends Johnson to the outside.
