Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that John Cena is expected to return to WWE programming for Survivor Series and will not be at the RAW-brand TLC pay-per-view event. Cena took time off from the company to partake in the filming of the upcoming Bumblebee movie.
As of this writing it is unknown exactly what the company has plans for him at this year’s Survivor Series. It was being rumored a while back that he could return to the SmackDown Live brand to challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Title. Whether or not that is still the plan remains to be seen as WWE is consistently changing their plans.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else regarding Cena’s status.
