Block 1:
Taz opens today’s show speaking about last night’s episode of Lucha Underground. He says he hasn’t followed this season at all, but he was very entertained by last night’s episode. The majority of this episode consisted of a match between Killshot and Dante Fox, and Taz was a big fan of this match.
He says that this match had a military feel, after the video package explaining both mens’ backstory informed that they spent time in the military together. Taz always gives credit to the video packages produced by WWE, but he thought this one was particularly well done by Lucha Underground because he felt up to date with the show after watching this package.
Taz gives credit to the commentary team who did a fantastic job of explaining the history between both men as the match was progressing. Taz says he went into last night’s episode as a casual fan, but he got caught up to speed quickly with help from the video packages and the great commentary work.
Taz loves the look and feel of Lucha Underground. While WWE has an incredibly well produced product, at some points it’s almost too good and everything looks the same. He thinks that Lucha Underground has a ‘gritty’ look that can’t be found on other wrestling shows, and it’s so different that he believes people should have to subscribe to see it.
