Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane, Pete Gas (formerly of the Mean Street Posse) and Glenn Gilbertti (Disco Inferno).
Gas mentions that he has released a new book and he has yet to receive a negative comment about it. He recalls trying to earn the respect of all the other talents in the locker room during the attitude era, and he recently received a huge compliment from Bob Holly. Holly told him that he’s a ‘tough SOB’ because some of the wrestlers tried to break them on a nightly basis during the attitude era, and they never could.
Lane mentions that GFW has changed their name back to IMPACT Wrestling, and they’re changing their programming to more in-ring action and less talking. Russo and Gilbertti both think this is a mistake. Gilbertti says that IMPACT actually has a number of great talkers, who can carry a storyline with their promos. By making this decision, IMPACT Officials take those skills away and now they’re just like every indie promotion.
