Block 1:
Taz says he has never been down on Roman Reigns, but he thought Reigns’ character was built even more last night. He thought Reigns’ promo was good, even though he admittedly still needs some work in that area, and the fact that he mimicked John Cena’s 2012 promo at the end was a nice touch.
He points out that WWE appears to be moving away from PG-13 programming as of late. We have heard a lot of swearing on WWE programming lately, but Taz doesn’t have a problem with that. He points out that the programming is still a long ways away from the stuff we saw during the attitude era, and if the swearing is contained to later in the show when most kids are asleep, Taz doesn’t have any issue with it.
Taz says that WWE desperately needs to switch gears with Jason Jordan quickly, because Jordan isn’t garnering any reaction from the WWE Universe right now. Jordan is a good looking guy who is a legitimate physical bad ass, but it’s hard to believe in him as an intimidating figure on WWE programming.
Taz says that WWE is putting Jordan in great positions to succeed, but his character hasn’t been developed to a point where those situations are going to work for him right now. Taz says a heel turn is the obvious choice for Jordan right now, and instead of defending Kurt Angle from people who are saying bad things about him, Jordan should be an entitled ‘douchebag heel’ who feels he’s owed the world given that Angle is his father.
