Russo is joined on this show by his co-host Jeff Lane and a special guest Francesco Castano.
Lane starts today’s show by playing a clip of Jason Powell, who says that WWE is giving away an awful lot on RAW lately in their main events, and it’s strange that they aren’t saving some of these big matches for football season. Russo says that this is a business, and WWE needs to have the best rating possible every single week. It’s useless to put something off until football season if their ratings are going to go in the toilet for the next 3 months.
Russo mentions that if WWE is planning on having another Superstar Shakeup only five months after the last one, there’s no point in having two brands at all. Their roster is too watered-down to have two brands in the first place and by having Superstar Shakeups every five or six months, WWE is basically admitting as much.
A clip of Dave Meltzer presents him saying that sources have confirmed to him that the Toronto crowd that booed Bayley on RAW last week weren’t necessarily booing the talent, rather they were booing WWE’s recent booking of her. Russo would like to know who told Meltzer this information, because Meltzer’s been writing this dirt sheet for 30 years and Russo hasn’t heard him name a source once.
