Taz opens today’s show by saying that on the Friday before SummerSlam, August 19th, Jim Ross will be Taz’s special guest in studio. Taz says he’s looking forward to having his old friend in studio for that show.
A listener calls into the show and says that WWE recently applied for the trademark for Taboo Tuesday, and he asks Taz if those old Taboo Tuesday shows were a work or a shoot.
Taz says he always thought those shows were a work, and even while he worked there he questioned it. He had discussions with other WWE employees while working there and they all said that it was not a work. In spite of this, Taz still thinks it was a work but he admits that he thinks all these voting shows are a work, such as Big Brother for example.
He knows the talents are kept in the dark about this stuff, so they all needed to be prepared in the backstage area in case they had to wrestle. In his opinion, the talents who were chosen would have to be told at least minutes before the match so they could prepare. He doubts that WWE would give that type of creative control to the fans.
