MJF Offers Jeff Jarrett World Title Deal During 1/8 AEW Dynamite

The F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee played host for the January 8 episode of AEW Dynamite. You never know what MJF is up to, and fans were very interested to know what the former AEW World Champion would be up to in 2025.

MJF is coming off a big win at Worlds End, where he retained the Dynamite Diamond ring as he beat Adam Cole in clean, yet controversial, fashion. The Salt of the Earth was in rare form this week for Dynamite, but that should be expected.

Meanwhile, Jeff Jarrett is on his way out of his pro wrestling career, but he made a big promise in the process. Double J beat Aaron Solo during last week’s AEW Collision. This week at the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee, Jarrett was on hand to show out for the crowd. During this week’s AEW Dynamite, he didn’t even get a chance to compete in the Casino Gauntlet match, because Wheeler Yuta jumped him before he could get in the ring.

Ian Riccaboni tried to talk to Jeff Jarrett after that match to get his thoughts, and then MJF came out. After MJF threw Ian out of the ring, he introduced himself. Then MJF trolled Jeff Jarrett for getting jumped by Wheeler Yuta.

Then MJF said that the AEW World Title scene is a mess right now, especially with Powerhouse Hobbs becoming the #1 contender. Then he gave a backhanded complement to Jarrett, he revealed that Jarrett’s last contract is only for one year, because that’s all pro wrestling thinks he has left.

MJF continued to get under Jarrett’s skin, and that brought out “you still got it” chants from fans in Tennessee. Then he said he could help Jarrett become champion one more time. All he asked was one favor: he wanted to be first in line for a world title shot. MJF extended his hand to Jarrett for a shake, but the WWE Hall of Famer only took the microphone to turn him down as he called MJF a “one hit wonder.“

After calling MJF “an entitled prick,” Jeff Jarrett left MJF alone in the ring. We will have to see what is next for this storyline.
