AEW Dynamite brought their January 8 episode to the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee. There were a lot of reason for fans to tune in, and Kenny Omega gave them a lot of possibilities as he jumped into the fold once again.

Kenny Omega made his return to AEW at Worlds End. He was not on the New Year’s Day episode of Dynamite, but this week saw The Cleaner make his comeback to the company’s flagship show.

They hyped Kenny Omega’s Dynamite return throughout the entire show. Then he finally took the ring in the final segment of the evening. Fans were more than ready to see The Cleaner’s return.

Kenny Omega received a ton of chants before he could start his promo. He walked fans through his diverticulitis scare, and how he fought to come back. He admitted during that promo that he thought that giving up was the safest option for him.

Omega questioned what his purpose really was when he was told that he may never wrestle again. He then said that if he’s not in the ring every single week, then he’s not living. He wants to show everyone that he can be the best.

He may not be able to do the things he used to do, but this “new version of Kenny Omega” can still prove that he is able to work at a high level. Suddenly, Don Callis showed up on the ramp, but he didn’t get many words out until Omega jumped him.

Although Lance Archer and Brian Cage jumped Omega to get him off Callis, The Cleaner still got some shots on Don Callis. Then Cage and Archer brought Omega to the ring, where they proceeded to beat him down. Kyle Fletcher showed up to help them assault the former AEW World Champion, including a stiff shot to the stomach.

Suddenly, Will Ospreay showed up with a steel chair to help Omega run the Don Callis Family off. That was quite a moment, and it left Ospreay and Omega in the ring together. After a nice stare-down between the two of them, the crowd chanted “holy sh*t” at the sight of them in the ring together. The big question is where things stand between the two.

Kenny Omega will take on Brian Cage next week during the January 15 episode of AEW Dynamite. That will be quite a match, but only time will tell how Will Ospreay plays into things.
