Kenny Omega is set to return to the AEW ring in a showdown with Brian Cage at AEW Maximum Carnage on January 15th. This marks Omega’s first AEW match since defeating Ethan Page on AEW Collision back on December 5, 2023.

The bout was officially confirmed on the January 8th episode of AEW Dynamite, where Omega found himself under attack from Cage, Lance Archer, and Kyle Fletcher. In a twist, Will Ospreay rushed to Omega’s aid, giving him a chance to seek revenge on Don Callis. This match sets the stage for what could be an explosive feud, as Omega looks to settle the score.

Before his AEW return, Omega had his first match in over a year at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty, where he defeated Gabe Kidd. Now, all eyes are on the showdown with Cage, which promises to be one of the most intense matchups of the night.

Current lineup for AEW Maximum Carnage on January 15th:

  • AEW Women’s Casino Gauntlet
  • AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
  • HOOK vs. Christian Cage
  • Kenny Omega vs. Brian Cage
