CM Punk’s rise as a WWE Superstar over the past year is certainly a big deal as many top stars want a piece of him now. This also includes an absent star who has now set his sights on squaring off against the Second City Saint.
While speaking to Netflix, Bronson Reed confidently stated that he could defeat CM Punk if given the opportunity. He added that if he hit Punk with his finishing move, the Tsunami, Punk’s aging body wouldn’t be able to handle it. Reed stated that Punk is at the top of his list of potential opponents.
“I can beat CM Punk, given the match. If I hit him with the Tsunami [Reed’s finishing move], his frail, old body will not last. So, CM Punk’s at the top of the list.”
Bronson Reed, who has been a dominant force on WWE television in recent months, is currently recovering from an ankle injury after suffering the injury during the WarGames match at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event.
The Second City Saint is not the only WWE Superstar who is in Bronson Reed’s crosshairs, as Reed also wants to square off against John Cena as part of his retirement tour. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see whether Reed will get the chance to face either of them this year once he returns from injury.
