Announcements for next week:
The crowd erupts as the unmistakable music hits—it’s time to smell what The Rock is cooking! The arena comes alive with electrifying energy as The Great One makes his way to the ring, soaking in the thunderous cheers from the WWE Universe.
The Rock is tossed a mic as the crowd roars. “This is crazy,” Rock begins, acknowledging the time left in the show for him to speak. Running through his many nicknames, he gets the crowd involved. “Last year, everywhere I went, I heard the same thing: ‘Why are you so mean to Cody? He needs to finish his story.’ One year later, here we are on Netflix, and I want to give props to Cody. He’s been kicking ass, carrying this company on his shoulders.”
Rock smirks, adding, “People say I can’t be nice to Cody or drink tequila with him. But I’m the Final Boss, always thinking twenty steps ahead. So shut your mouths and enjoy the ride.”
Using some colorful language, Rock reacts to the time constraints but keeps his energy high. He shares how he knew he was coming to NXT weeks ago and had discussions with Nick Khan and Triple H. “I didn’t know what to say,” he admits. “But Ava told me backstage, ‘You’ll feel this crowd.'”
Rock continues, “Thank you, because last night’s show with all the celebrities was the sexy ticket. But tonight? This is the show you want to be at. It’s easy to go where the stars are. It’s not easy to come here. But you’re critical to this. Those guys and girls in the back? In three years, they could be main-eventing WrestleMania. Or, in three years, they could be out of the business. Your reactions—booing or cheering—make the difference.” He concludes by saying, “I know what it’s like to depend on the crowd,” leaving the audience hanging on his every word as the show fades to credits as the show ends with him doing the smell what The Rock is cooking bit.
