WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has become one of the most controversial figures for many reasons. That’s why it was no surprise that he was heavily booed during the January 6 edition of Monday Night RAW’s Netflix debut. In fact, Hogan’s reaction to the overwhelmingly negative reception from fans has now been revealed.
According to a report by Chris Featherstone, he was informed by sources close to the situation that Hulk Hogan believes the negative reaction was due to political differences, claiming he stands for values the crowd didn’t agree with, saying, “he stood for what they didn’t stand for.”
It was further noted that Hulk Hogan wasn’t surprised by the reaction, as he “thought it was going to be 50/50” heading into a city like Los Angeles, which is very liberal in general and does not necessarily align with Hulk Hogan’s own political views.
As reported earlier, in addition to the chorus of boos, off-camera chants of “F*** Hulk Hogan” could be heard throughout the arena. The crowd’s disdain for Hogan wasn’t limited to his live appearance; they even booed a pre-recorded commercial of him promoting Saturday Night’s Main Event.
To make matters worse for The Hulkster, Pat McAfee took aim at Hulk Hogan getting booed during the most recent episode of his show. Even though Hogan was booed in Los Angeles, he is still popular with fans around the world. However, it’s not clear if he will change how he promotes himself based on how fans in different places react to him.
