Gabe Kidd is never shy about speaking his mind as he truly loves being part of New Japan Pro Wrestling. In fact, he ended up getting a special tattoo to commemorate his iconic match with Kenny Omega at NJPW Wrestle Dynasty.

Gabe Kidd took to his Instagram and penned an emotional message, reflecting on his journey. While acknowledging a recent loss, he gave emphasis to his determination, saying, “We lost the big game but never in the game.”

Kidd praised Hiroshi Tanahashi as the ace of New Japan Pro Wrestling, stating he would never claim that title himself. However, he declared himself the true symbol of fighting spirit and the embodiment of the promotion’s values.

Focusing on the future, Kidd vowed to crush opponents like Tomohiro Ishii and Suzumi and overcome anything in his path to claim his place at the top of NJPW. He also expressed his commitment to elevating the promotion to new heights.

In honor of his journey, Kidd got a tattoo commemorating the date of his match against Kenny Omega at NJPW Wrestle Dynasty, which is now considered an instant classic, along with a Japanese flag inside a heart.

“We lost the big game but never in the game.

The ace of New Japan Pro Wrestling is Hiroshi Tanahashi. I will never use that title. But Gabe Kidd is the true symbol of fighting spirit and the embodiment of New Japan Pro Wrestling.

There is no time to sit and think about the past. Crush Ishii, Suzumi, and everything that stands in my way, and take my rightful place at the top of New Japan Pro Wrestling. I will take my beloved New Japan Pro Wrestling to unprecedented heights. Thank you.”

Fightful Select also reported that NJPW officials were very pleased with Kidd and Omega’s match. Therefore, Kidd’s performance not only solidified his status as the next big star but also reinforced his role as a symbol of NJPW’s fighting spirit and the tattoo more than proves that.
