AEW is pulling out all the stops for its Dynamite: Maximum Carnage episode on January 15, as the first-ever Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match will determine the next challenger for the AEW Women’s World Title. The winner of this historic bout will face reigning champion Mariah May at AEW Grand Slam Australia on February 15.
Tony Khan broke the news on social media, writing, “NEXT WED, 1/15! Cincinnati, OH Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite 8pm ET/7pm CT on TBS + MAX #MaximumCarnage Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match. The Women’s Casino Gauntlet winner will face the AEW Women’s World Champion at Grand Slam Australia! Don’t miss Maximum Carnage NEXT WEDNESDAY!”
The match promises to be a chaotic spectacle, with an unknown number of competitors entering at timed intervals until a pinfall or submission determines the winner. AEW fans are already speculating who could emerge victorious and take on Mariah May, whose reign has been nothing short of dominant.
In addition to the Casino Gauntlet, Maximum Carnage will also feature Jon Moxley defending his AEW World Championship against an opponent yet to be announced.
With so much on the line, this is shaping up to be a night AEW fans won’t want to miss.
