The glitz and glamour of Hollywood met the squared circle as WWE kicked off its new era on Netflix with a star-studded Monday Night Raw at the brand-new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The event had all the makings of an awards show, complete with a red carpet for the celebrity-packed turnout.

Big names from Hollywood and beyond were in the building, with Travis Scott, Ashton Kutcher, Michael Che, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Vanessa Hudgens, Bill Simmons, Seth Green, and Macaulay Culkin among those spotted. Wrestling fans were also treated to appearances by Stephen Amell, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and WWE superfan Danielle Fishel (better known as Topanga from Boy Meets World). WWE legends and past wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Stephanie McMahon, and Nikki Bella made their mark as well, with Undertaker arriving in true “American Bad Ass” fashion on a motorcycle after Rhea Ripley’s title defense.

Hulk Hogan, however, received a mixed reaction from the crowd during his live promo, with audible boos cutting through the cheers. Meanwhile, The Rock’s opening promo electrified the audience as he declared the show set a record for the highest-grossing arena event in WWE history. Michael Cole later confirmed this on commentary, while Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston estimated the gate exceeded $3 million if international figures were included. The sold-out crowd of over 17,000 fans packed the Intuit Dome, cementing this historic debut as one for the ages.

In a first for WWE, the Raw mat was black and covered with logos from major sponsors, including Fortnite, Netflix, Cricket Wireless, Snickers, Riyadh Season (Saudi Arabia), and Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer. While WWE has dabbled in on-mat advertising before, the sheer volume of branding brought a UFC-esque feel to the presentation.
