WWE’s Netflix debut took place on January 6 during an episode of RAW. The event was held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. That big episode will likely be followed by a massive episode of NXT on Tuesday.
The Rock received a loud response from the crowd to kick off WWE RAW this week. He spoke about how WWE has changed since his childhood. During his promo, he used an uncensored expletive, setting the tone for this new format. He thanked Cody Rhodes, who was watching ringside, and acknowledged Roman Reigns.
The Rock’s appearance was brief but significant. That wasn’t all, as he also showed up to crown Roman Reigns with the Ula Fala after he beat Solo Sikoa in Tribal Combat.
After that was over, The Rock heavily teased that he will be on NXT this week. He went live on Instagram backstage, and as he got in his truck, The Rock said “see you in NXT.” It was very clear that Dwayne Johnson doesn’t intend on making RAW his only WWE show of the week.
We will have to see what The Rock is able to do on NXT this week. Only time will tell what The Final Boss does to shake up the company’s developmental brand.
