WWE RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6 featured a key moment in the Bloodline Saga. Roman Reigns faced Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat match at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The winner would claim the Ula Fala and the title of Tribal Chief.

The match saw intense action with weapons, interference, and near falls. After a Helluva Kick from Sami Zayn, Roman Reigns hit two spears to secure the victory.

After the match, Paul Heyman prepared to crown Reigns with the Ula Fala, because it was his duty to do so. Before he could, The Rock entered the ring. Taking the Ula Fala from Heyman, The Rock placed it around Reigns’ neck and embraced him. The moment symbolized Reigns’ dominance and furthered the Bloodline storyline in a major way.

During the press conference after the historic episode of WWE RAW, Roman Reigns was asked about a future match against The Rock. While he didn’t confirm anything was in the pipeline, he did say that fans will do their thing online.

“I don’t have to tease anything. You guys do it for us. We’re just gonna let the internet do its thing. That would defeat the whole purpose of this. The internet won’t do its thing if I say yes or no, so the Internet’s gonna do its thing.”

We will have to see if The Rock and Roman Reigns finally have their match. That contest would be a long time coming, since it was originally booked for WrestleMania 40, but the “Cody Crybabies” did their thing and had the match changed.

The Rock also teased an appearance during the January 7 edition of WWE NXT on The CW. That could mean that The Final Boss’ time in WWE is just starting for 2025.

Roman Reigns is certainly starting WWE’s Netflix Era off on strong footing. He is now the undisputed Tribal Chief, so only time will tell if we get that epic encounter down the line.
