The Rock’s surprise return at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event has left fans speculating about his WrestleMania 41 plans, and the rumor mill has been working overtime. However, Triple H is setting the record straight about the notion that The Rock leaves WWE executives in the dark about his decisions.
Speaking on the SI Media Podcast with Jimmy Traina, Triple H pushed back against the idea that The Rock is unpredictable or difficult to work with. “Trust that he will always do what’s right for WWE in the end. He’s super collaborative with me and super collaborative with Nick Khan on what we want to do. Contrary to what a lot of people want to think,” Triple H explained.
While acknowledging that The Rock’s busy schedule leaves some uncertainty about his availability, Triple H emphasized that the Hollywood megastar always keeps WWE’s best interests in mind. “Only time will tell here. I don’t want to give anything away, but I do believe here that when moments appear—huge, game-changing moments—he’s a game changer. It’s what he does,” Triple H said.
Reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter have fueled rumors of The Rock potentially wrestling at WrestleMania 41. According to Dave Meltzer, WWE executives are optimistic about The Rock appearing on the grand stage, with early discussions revolving around a match for the Raw title against Cody Rhodes, potentially incorporating the People’s Belt. However, nothing is set in stone, and The Rock’s freedom to choose his path has left fans guessing.
“At first it was the Raw title given Rhodes vs. Rock would be for the other title and People’s belt,” Meltzer noted. “This isn’t etched in stone because whatever Rock wants to do, he’s likely going to be able to do.”
Chris Featherstone also reported that WWE is proceeding with creative plans as if The Rock won’t be at WrestleMania, but those plans could change depending on his schedule. Meanwhile, The Rock himself has denied rumors about his absence, responding to a fan on Instagram, “Don’t believe any of that bull****.”
With WrestleMania 41 just months away, the wrestling world is eagerly awaiting confirmation of The Rock’s plans. Whether he faces Cody Rhodes or opts for another path, Triple H’s comments make one thing clear: The Rock remains a team player who prioritizes WWE’s success.
