The Rock and WWE’s Ava Bring Wrestling Glamour to the Golden Globes

Hollywood and wrestling collided in style at the 2025 Golden Globes when WWE NXT General Manager Ava (Simone Garcia Johnson) joined her famous father, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, for an unforgettable night. The duo brought star power to the event, rubbing elbows with some of the biggest names in the entertainment world.

The Rock took the stage alongside his Moana 2 co-star Auli’i Cravalho to present the award for Best Supporting Female Actor – Motion Picture to Zoe Saldaña for her role in Emilia Pérez. While presenting, The Rock kept the room laughing, even cracking a joke about his chest hair being used for Timothy Chalamet’s mustache. The comedic moment was pure “Great One” energy, and the audience couldn’t get enough.

Later, Ava and her dad were spotted seated with the cast of Emilia Pérez, including Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez, and Gomez’s new fiancé, Benny Blanco. Cameras captured the father-daughter duo enjoying the ceremony, adding even more charm to an already glamorous event.

Ava, no stranger to the Golden Globes, was named a Golden Globe Ambassador in 2018, long before her WWE journey began. After joining the WWE Performance Center in 2020, Ava quickly climbed the ranks and now serves as NXT General Manager, showcasing her ability to excel both inside and outside the wrestling world.
