Mercedes Moné added another accolade to her storied career at Wrestle Dynasty, capturing the Rev Pro Undisputed British Women’s Championship from Mina Shirakawa in a high-stakes clash. The match also saw Moné’s New Japan Strong Women’s Championship on the line, but “The CEO” proved unstoppable, walking out with both titles.
At the post-match press conference, Moné revealed her next monumental goal: headlining the Tokyo Dome. “I’ve fulfilled my childhood dream, but it’s just the beginning,” Moné said.
“It’s been two years since the NJPW women’s division started. AEW, NJPW, and the female wrestlers are all amazing. Today we were able to show a glimpse of our greatness. My new dream has begun again. My current goal is to have a match in the main event at the Tokyo Dome.”
Since joining NJPW two years ago, Moné has become one of the most dominant forces in women’s wrestling. She made her mark early, winning the IWGP Women’s Championship from KAIRI just a month after debuting at Wrestle Kingdom 17. While her reign was cut short by Mayu Iwatani in April 2023, Moné has continued to excel, proving herself on multiple stages.
Currently holding the AEW TBS Championship, Moné has also set records stateside. Her recent defense against Kris Statlander was the longest women’s match in AEW history, further cementing her legacy as a trailblazer.
Mercedes Moné is showing no signs of slowing down, and her sights are set higher than ever. From dominating NJPW and AEW to now setting her sights on a Tokyo Dome main event, she’s proving why she’s one of the most ambitious and accomplished wrestlers in the game today. The CEO isn’t just making moves—she’s rewriting the rules and setting new standards in wrestling history.
