The star-studded debut of WWE RAW on Netflix just got even bigger with the confirmed appearance of Hulk Hogan.
According to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com, the WWE legend will make his first live appearance on a WWE show in years during tomorrow night’s historic event in Los Angeles.
Chris Featherstone initially reported Hogan’s inclusion, and Meltzer added that WWE plans to carefully space out surprises to keep the show exciting without overwhelming viewers. Hogan’s presence, alongside The Rock, is part of WWE’s strategy to leverage its biggest names for the Netflix launch.
Hogan’s last WWE TV appearance was in January during the company’s celebration of 40 years of Hulkamania. The event included iconic footage of Hogan’s 1984 victory over The Iron Sheik and a promo from the Hulkster reflecting on the current roster. Most recently, Hogan appeared in advertisements for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, airing later this month.
Bringing Hogan back to RAW for the Netflix premiere is expected to inject nostalgia and star power into the debut episode as WWE looks to solidify its new partnership with the streaming giant.
With legends like The Rock and Hulk Hogan in the mix, the stage is set for a monumental kickoff to WWE’s Netflix era.
