Athena and Thekla Involved in Heated Altercation After NJPW Wrestle Dynasty

At the NJPW Wrestle Dynasty event, Athena was determined to win the International Women’s Cup tournament but her plans were foiled thanks to Thekla, which led to Momo Watanabe winning instead. Unsurprisingly, Athena and Thekla were involved in a heated altercation after the show.

STARDOM’s official Twitter account took to the social media platform and uploaded a video of Athena and Thekla following Wrestle Dynasty. Athena confronted Thekla and blamed her for ruining her moment at the event.

Athena and Thekla got physical with each other as things got heated and they had to be separated. Theka was laughing at Athena and while Thekla said she would wait until their upcoming title match, she tried to throw hands right after that but was thankfully stopped.

Athena will defend the ROH Women’s World Championship against Thekla at Stardom’s Korakuen Hall show on January 13th following Thekla’s distraction that cost Athena the match. Therefore, we’ll have to see how Athena will fare against Thekla, as the two shared the ring together earlier this week as they defeated Tay Melo and Mina Shirakawa in a tag team match.
