Vince Russo is undoubtedly one of the most controversial names in professional wrestling history and has openly stated he’s no longer a fan of the business. That’s why it comes as no surprise that Russo has no interest in going back to WWE for a role in NXT.

While speaking on Writing with Russo, Vince Russo was asked whether he would go back to WWE for a huge sum of money. Russo made it very clear that he has no plans to return to the company for a role in NXT.

Russo feels that even though it might help his brand, it’s not worth going back into wrestling. Russo said he wouldn’t take the job, even if he was offered a million dollars a year for just a couple of appearances. He added that the only way he’d consider it is if he was completely broke and couldn’t pay his bills, showing he has no real interest in going back.

“Chris, don’t get me wrong. If I was able to go mainstream on an NXT or a WWE, bro, it’d be great for the brand—absolutely great for the brand. But that’s not enough for me to do it. Just for me to go back into that world, the exposure it would give Russo’s brand would not be enough, okay?

So, a million a year, two times a month on NXT? I need you there? Uh, no way. No way. No way. You’re saying two times a month, Chris? No way. You couldn’t get me there once a month. No way. Not for a million a year. Nah. No way. Never happening, bro. Never, ever, ever.”

Chris, I would have to be broke—like, literally. I would have to be at a point where I couldn’t pay my bills. Yeah, I’d have to be at that point.”

Vince Russo’s decision to decline a return to WWE, even for a significant paycheck, shows his stance and priorities regarding the wrestling industry. That’s also why Russo would turn down a WWE Hall of Fame induction as well, making it clear he really doesn’t want anything to do with wrestling right now.

What do you think about Vince Russo’s decision to stay away from WWE? Do you believe he could still make a difference in the industry, or is his time better spent elsewhere? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below.
