NJPW World Heavyweight Championship – #1 Contender’s Ranbo Match

The Ranbo kicks off with Great O-Khan and Josh Barnett starting things off. Due to music rights issues, alterations have been made. Boltin Oleg enters and shows off some impressive matwork with Barnett. Hirooki Goto is next, followed by Yuji Nagata, igniting a clash with Barnett. Boltin and Barnett team up briefly before eliminating each other.

Togi Makabe makes his entrance, followed by KENTA, who swiftly boots out Nagata. YOSHI-HASHI is next, followed by Yujiro Takahashi—without Pieter this time—looking less than impressive. Toru Yano eliminates Yujiro shortly after. Hiroyoshi Tenzan enters looking leaner than usual, and then comes MLW World Champion Satoshi Kojima. A misstep by Tenzan, caused by Yano’s antics, leads to Tenzan accidentally lariating Kojima, who gets eliminated via a cradle. Tomoaki Honma enters next, prompting calls for fresher talent.

Finally, SANADA makes his way out. Taichi enters and immediately brawls with SANADA on the floor. Ishii is in next and takes the fight to Honma, delivering a devastating headbutt followed by a Brainbuster to eliminate him. Alex Zayne is the final entrant. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships — Tokyo Terror Ladder Match: Kevin Knight & KUSHIDA (c) vs. T.M.D.K. vs. Catch 2/2 vs. BULLET CLUB War Dogs

The match starts with an all-out brawl among all competitors. Kevin Knight quickly clears the ring with an impressive top-rope dive onto a group of wrestlers. Fujita and Robbie Eagles bring a ladder into play, but Kushida takes them down, allowing Knight to crush them with a splash onto the ladder. TJP and Francesco Akira retaliate by taking out Knight and Kushida with ladder and chair shots. Clark Connors then enters with a ladder, using it to strike TJP and Akira. Connors and Dan Maloney deliver a devastating high/low on Akira with steel chairs.

As Connors and Kushida climb a ladder, Kushida knocks them both off. Kushida lands a series of kicks to keep everyone out of the ring, but Connors pushes Knight off the top rope and hits him with a steel chair. Maloney plants Kushida with a Drilla Killa on the arena floor. Akira gets double-teamed by Connors and Maloney until TJP intervenes, saving his partner. Back in the ring, chaos resumes with competitors taking turns eliminating each other. Knight sets up a ladder bridge but gets attacked by Connors, who is then crushed by Eagles with a springboard 450 splash onto the ladder. Knight climbs a ladder but is taken down by Fujita. Eagles and TJP battle on the ladders until TJP blinds Eagles with mist and delivers a super reverse DDT through the ladder bridge. Kushida takes control, using a flatliner to drive Maloney into the turnbuckle pad. Knight and Kushida hit Maloney with a Perfect Timing from the top of the ladder, but Fujita manages to stop Kushida from climbing further.

Fujita ascends the ladder with Kushida following, locking in an ankle lock at the top. Eagles tries an ankle lock on Kushida but is interrupted by Knight. The chaos continues with Maloney knocking Knight off the ladder, leading to a four-way striking battle atop multiple ladders. TJP and Fujita are knocked off, leaving Akira and Fujita at the top. Fujita traps Akira in a dragon sleeper atop the ladder before grabbing the belts to win the match.

IWGP Women’s Championship: Mayu Iwatani (c) vs. AZM

NJPW World Television Championship — Four-Way Match: Ren Narita (c) vs. Ryohei Oiwa vs. Jeff Cobb vs. El Phantasmo

The match kicks off with Ren Narita quickly leaving the ring, allowing El Phantasmo to take him out with a suicide dive. Inside the ring, Jeff Cobb and Yuto Oiwa clash, exchanging shoulder tackles before Phantasmo returns, only to be dropped immediately. Phantasmo follows up with a dive, taking out everyone but Cobb, who answers with a dive of his own. Cobb gets Narita back in the ring, hitting him with a Hammer & Sickle and a standing moonsault for near falls. Oiwa re-enters, dropkicking Cobb into Narita and suplexing Cobb for another near fall. Narita climbs to the top rope but is kicked in the head by Phantasmo, who also heads up top. Oiwa joins them, but Cobb executes a Tower of Doom, sending everyone crashing down.

Narita hits Cobb with Hell’s Guillotine for a near fall and unsuccessfully pins his other opponents. Frustrated, Narita knocks the referee out and grabs a weapon, only for Jado to intervene and take it away. Narita is then attacked by all three opponents, leading to a three-way striking exchange between Oiwa, Phantasmo, and Cobb. Phantasmo drops Oiwa with Sudden Death, but Cobb catches Phantasmo mid-air and lands an F-5000 for a near fall.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship: DOUKI (c) vs. El Desperado

The match begins with Douki using a head scissors takedown to send El Desperado out of the ring, followed by a suicide dive to maintain control. Tsuji misses a top-rope leap, allowing Finlay to hit a powerbomb, a buckle bomb, and another powerbomb, but Tsuji kicks out.

Finlay attempts another powerbomb, but Tsuji counters with a rana and lands a knee strike, followed by the Marlowe Crash for a near fall. As Tsuji charges, Finlay counters with a Stun Gun and a modified backbreaker, earning yet another near fall. Tsuji escapes a suplex attempt, hitting Finlay with a stunner and a spear for a near fall. Tsuji levels Finlay with a series of forearms before landing a devastating curb stomp.
