You never know who will show up when you go to an indie wrestling event, especially Ohio Valley Wrestling. After all, a lot of famous faces have ventured through OVW’s famous rosters.

Mick Foley surprised fans at the OVW Nightmare Rumble on January 4 by appearing as his iconic Dude Love persona. This was a big highlight of the night for those fans, who didn’t see an appearance from Mrs Foley’s Baby Boy coming.

During the match, Foley brought back another signature move, using Mr. Socko to eliminate a competitor. Mick Foley hasn’t competed in an official match since the 2012 Royal Rumble event. That being said, he’s not about to take any bumps right now.

JBL was on commentary for the event, adding to the nostalgia for fans watching the surprise appearance. This was quite a show for fans who got to see some big names at the indie show.

Dude Love was one of the “Three Faces of Foley.” This character became a fan favorite as Foley famously portrayed the gimmick during WWE’s Attitude Era. At the same time, Mick Foley also portrayed Mankind and Cactus Jack, sometimes on the same night.

We will have to see if Mick Foley ever makes his return to WWE for any reason. Triple H’s leadership could always bring him back if the opportunity arises. If anything, it’s great to see that Foley is having a good time in his retirement.

Which is your favorite of the Three Faces of Foley? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
