AEW has a locker room full of stars, all looking for their next chance to shine on television. That being said, there isn’t room on the show for everyone. A lot of things can play into a star’s absence, including backstage heat.

During a Q&A session on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp addressed a question about the status of Rush and Dralistico. He revealed that the two stars have been dealing with backstage heat following an incident during a recent match.

According to the new report, Rush and Dralistico were initially set to defeat The Acclaimed at the November 14 Collision taping. It turns out that they rubbed a lot of people the wrong way by going the extra mile to get some heel heat.

Interestingly enough, this victory for Rush and Dralistico would have secured their spot at AEW Full Gear. However, plans changed following an altercation during their match with Richard Holliday and Alec Price.

The incident went down when Rush and Dralistico got physical with Richard Holliday while he was being checked on by a medic. This led to some backstage tension, which has since impacted their trajectory within AEW.

We will have to see if Rush and Dralistico make their way back to television, but right now that heat could keep them off for even longer. Whenever they do return, it will be interesting to see if their booking suffers due to this backstage heat.
