Kenny Omega’s comeback is being promoted for the January 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, following his return to AEW at Worlds End. But before he steps onto the Dynamite stage, Omega has a showdown set against Gabe Kidd at AEW x NJPW Wrestle Dynasty.
Kidd, however, has made it clear that Omega might not make it past their match. In a bold warning during an interview with Fightful, Kidd questioned Omega’s chances of even appearing on Dynamite. “It’s incredibly ambitious to say [Omega] is going to be at Dynamite next week. I’ll tell you that,” Kidd remarked.
Referencing his past actions, Kidd added, “Eddie Kingston was supposed to be in some big pay-per-view match. What happened there? He’s still sat on his sofa, watching me, seething because I took him out. Kenny is going to be doing the same thing. He’s going to be out another year. Maybe two, actually.”
Kidd didn’t hold back, expressing frustration over how he feels disrespected by Omega. “He’s disrespecting me a hell of a lot more than Kingston was. I might have to take him out for two years,” Kidd declared, leaving little doubt about his intentions.
With stakes this high, all eyes are on AEW x NJPW Wrestle Dynasty to see if Kidd delivers on his threats and derails Omega’s momentum before his scheduled Dynamite return.
