TNA Impact made its debut on Sportsnet 360 in Canada, and the viewership numbers are in.

The two-hour show, airing from 8 – 10 p.m. ET, pulled in approximately 36,000 viewers, with 16,000 in the 25-54 demographic. While respectable for its first night, the show didn’t crack the top ten sports programs on Thursday.

The episode, taped at Center Stage in Atlanta, centered on a show-long tease of Tessa Blanchard’s return to TNA. Blanchard made a dramatic appearance after the eight-woman tag team match, attacking Jordynne Grace and literally throwing her out of the building. Fans were left buzzing as Blanchard’s return set the stage for potential fireworks in TNA’s women’s division.

This debut comes as TNA replaces WWE programming on Sportsnet 360 after WWE’s decade-long deal with the network ended. WWE’s Canadian shows, including Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, have moved exclusively to Netflix. The TNA deal includes flagship programming on Thursday nights and supplemental content like TNA Xplosion, TNA in 60, and other classic matches from the promotion’s extensive library.

For context, TNA Impact’s viewership trails NXT’s December numbers, where the Tuesday night show averaged 76,700 viewers and 27,700 in the key demo on Sportsnet 360. However, with TNA only beginning to establish its foothold in the Canadian market, there’s room for growth as the promotion builds its audience.
