Tay Melo Makes In-Ring Return at STARDOM New Year Dream Event

Tay Melo made her long-awaited return to the ring during STARDOM’s New Year Dream show, which was something that fans never believed was possible. After all, it had been a long time since she competed in a match, but it’s safe to say she more than proved she is still capable in the ring.

During STARDOM’s New Year Dream event at the Tokyo Garden Theater on January 3rd, Tay Melo teamed up with Mina Shirakawa as they squared off against Athena and Thekla in a tag team match.

Tay Melo displayed a lot of solid moves inside the squared circle, showing fans that despite almost two years of in-ring absence, she still has the ability to put on a solid match whenever required of her. Melo delivered a solid piledriver on Athena and a huge dive from the top rope, among other things.

However, the final moments of the match saw Athena nailing Tay Melo with an O-Face and winning the match for her team. As a result, Tay Melo’s in-ring return wasn’t a successful one, but fans were still impressed with her performance.

Melo’s last match took place on March 11, 2023, where she teamed up with Sammy Guevara to defeat Encore and Tiara James at NEW Wrestlefest XXVII. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether Melo will continue her run in STARDOM or return to AEW soon, as fans are just happy to see her back in action after so long.
