Rob Van Dam Reveals Condition for AEW or WWE Return

Rob Van Dam isn’t ruling out a return to AEW or WWE, but as always, the legendary high-flyer is keeping it real about his priorities. The ECW original and Hall of Famer recently addressed whether he’s open to stepping back into the AEW ring during his 1 Of A Kind With RVD podcast.

“Can I still wrestle in AEW? As far as I know. There’s no reason that I know of that I can’t,” RVD shared. “If there is a reason, then I don’t know about it. I don’t know that it would be the best move for me right now, but at the same time, money talks, and it’s a great motivator when it comes to going to work.”

RVD had a whirlwind 2023 and 2024, wrestling in multiple AEW matches and making memorable appearances on WWE programming. His surprise appearance on SmackDown in September 2024, followed by showings on NXT in October and at the 2300 Arena in November, reminded fans of the star power he still brings to the table.

While there’s no confirmation of an imminent return to either promotion, Van Dam’s stance is clear: show him the money, and he’ll consider it.
