Marty Scurll’s name will always be surrounded by controversy thanks to the allegations made against him during the #SpeakingOut Movement. However, he is still active in the pro wrestling scene and now Scurll has claimed that he is working extensively with AEW and WWE talent when it comes to their creative direction.

While speaking to Thats Wrestling, Marty Scurll claimed is actively involved with talent in both AEW and WWE. He enjoys working directly with wrestlers, helping them develop their gimmicks, personalities, and promos. While he won’t name specific wrestlers, he mentions working with several in both promotions.

Scurll stated that he is hands-on with all aspects, including coming up with ideas, assisting with their move sets, and more. Scurll loves being part of the creative process and is passionate about helping wrestlers bring out their best potential.

“I like to work hands-on with different talents. That’s actually something I still do now. Um, you know, I have a few different guys—some in AEW, some in WWE. I won’t name them, but I help them out creatively, coming up with their gimmicks, their personalities, and helping them with promos.

I work on everything—coming up with ideas, helping with their move sets, all that stuff. I kind of work hands-on with a bunch of talent. I love doing that. Being part of creative and getting to work with talent to bring out the best in them is something I’m really passionate about.”

Marty Scurll also revealed why he didn’t join AEW, as he simply wanted to be a bigger name in Ring of Honor at the time. Nevertheless, it’s certainly surprising to fans that he is actively working with AEW and WWE talent considering his reputation in the business but his ideas of the business certainly cannot be understated.

Do you believe Marty Scurll’s behind-the-scenes contributions to AEW and WWE talent could be an asset despite his past? How should the wrestling world handle controversial figures who remain active in the industry?
