Next week’s episode of WWE SmackDown promises to be a can’t-miss event as LA Knight takes on Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States Championship. The match was officially confirmed during a backstage interview on the January 3 episode, where Knight didn’t mince words about his intentions.

Speaking to Byron Saxton, Knight made it clear that Nakamura has “hell to pay” for his recent actions. He accused the champion of blindsiding him to retain the title and vowed to make Nakamura regret it. “Next week, I’m stomping Nakamura’s head in until I get what I want,” Knight declared, leaving no room for doubt about his mindset going into the showdown.

Knight also addressed SmackDown GM Nick Aldis, who questioned his aggressive approach. But the challenger stood firm, reminding everyone that Nakamura struck first. The self-proclaimed “Mega Star” confidently stated that not only will he take the United States Championship, but he’s also setting his sights on winning the Royal Rumble to headline WrestleMania.
