AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen delivered plenty of excitement, from exciting in-ring clashes to backstage appearances.

While the show made history with its first simulcast on MAX, it also drew attention for the presence of two notable names from WWE’s past: Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix and former ring announcer Samantha Irvin.

According to PWInsider.com, Phoenix and Irvin were backstage at Dynamite. Phoenix, married to AEW star Adam Copeland, was there to support her husband as he competed in the main event. Copeland, along with FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), took on The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta) in a match that ended with the hometown heroes securing the win. The couple lives in the area, making the visit a natural fit.

Meanwhile, Samantha Irvin was also on hand to cheer for her husband, Ricochet, who made a statement of his own during the show. Ricochet shocked the AEW audience with a brutal heel turn, attacking Swerve Strickland in a vicious display of aggression. Though Irvin has publicly stated she doesn’t plan to return to wrestling as a ring announcer, her backstage presence alongside Phoenix raised plenty of speculation about future possibilities.
