WWE’s Executive Director of Creative Writing and Talent Bruce Prichard is making his long-awaited return to the company this week after stepping away in November 2024. According to PWInsider.com, Prichard is expected to resume his duties as early as tomorrow’s SmackDown taping.

Prichard’s absence sparked speculation about his future with WWE, but the rumors were quickly shot down. His podcast co-host, Conrad Thompson, addressed the situation on their show, explaining, “Bruce Prichard is still with WWE. Bruce Prichard is not quitting his podcast. There have been health events in the Prichard family and household, and right now, Bruce is going to take a little bit of a leave of absence from WWE to focus on what’s really important.”

As one of WWE’s most influential figures, Prichard plays a critical role in crafting the company’s storylines and managing talent. His return comes at a pivotal moment, with WrestleMania season just around the corner and WWE making its massive Netflix debut on January 6.

Many are curious to see how Prichard’s comeback will influence WWE’s creative direction. Known for his long tenure in WWE, which began in 1987, Prichard’s experience and storytelling prowess will be key as the company moves into one of its busiest times of the year.
