WWE made history at Saturday Night’s Main Event when Chelsea Green was crowned the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. The former Hot Mess is now strutting around with championship gold, and she has a lot to be proud of.

Chelsea Green already kicked things off with a championship celebration during the December 27 episode of WWE SmackDown. Of course, that joyous time for Green was cut short when Michin made her presence felt.

Sean Ross Sapp noted on Fightful Select that Chelsea Green’s segment got positive reviews backstage. She has only just begun her reign as champion as well.

Chelsea Green and Michin may continue their feud, as another match seems likely. We will have to see how long Green can carry that title, but she is off to a good start.

WWE is granting even more opportunities for their women’s roster, as the RAW Women’s Division will also get its own Intercontinental Title, and that tournament is ongoing on the red brand. The finals of that tournament were set in stone during the December 30 episode of WWE RAW, and the final match will take place on the January 13 episode of the red brand’s show on Netflix.

Chelsea Green is very happy with her current position in WWE, and it took a lot of work to get her to that point. Now that she is enjoying the fruits of her labor, it’s nice to know that she also has support backstage.
