CM Punk is known for his biting promo abilities, as he is one of the best talkers in the game. There is someone behind the Second City Savior’s words, and it appears that he has a steady writer in WWE.
The December 30 episode of WWE RAW was the final episode of the red brand on the USA Network. That episode concluded with CM Punk and Seth Rollins as the very last two people on the screen before they faded to black.
That promo battle between Punk and Rollins was rather brutal. Now we know who was behind Punk’s part of the back-and-forth.
Sean Ross Sapp noted on Fightful Select that Alexandra Williams continues serving as the writer on CM Punk’s segments. It wasn’t noted exactly how long she’s been penning the Voice of the Voiceless’s words.
CM Punk and Seth Rollins’ battle during the January 6 episode of WWE RAW will be a big one. WWE actually considered this match for WrestleMania, but the red brand’s Netflix premiere was also big enough to get that marquee match.
We will have to see how CM Punk and Seth Rollins’ match on RAW next week pans out. This could be the first confrontation in a series of matches if we’re lucky. It will also be interesting to see if Punk keeps his same writer throughout his journey.
