The Toyota Center in Houston, Texas played host to the final WWE RAW of 2024 on December 30. That was also the last RAW on the USA Network before their big Netflix move. A lot of things went down, and Jey Uso couldn’t miss the show.
Jey Uso was on the winning side of WarGames at Survivor Series 2024. They haven’t had a chance to reset him since then, but this week’s RAW provided a great opportunity.
The New Day opened up WWE RAW this week, and it didn’t take long for the arena to fill with boos. Then Jey Uso made his entrance through the crowd, which changed the fans’ tune in a big way as the yeeting started in Houston.
Jey Uso had fans quiet down so the New Day could talk, but they only got “New Day Sucks” chants from the crowd. Uce brought up how they go back years, but then he said, “New Day Sucks,” which brought a big pop from the crowd. Then Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston quietly exited the ring as fans chanted that they suck.
Then Jey Uso called out Drew McIntyre, but he didn’t show up. Instead, Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline was on the screen. Solo spoke about how he will destroy Roman Reigns next week in their Tribal Combat match. He also said that Jey Uso made a big mistake for siding with the OTC, because he’s not losing the Ula Falla any time soon.
As Jey Uso was distracted, Drew McIntyre jumped in the ring and blindsided Jey Uso. Then he started a beatdown on the OG Bloodline member. As McIntyre went for a Claymore Kick, Jey Uso answered with a Superkick, but Drew nailed a Glasgow Kiss before preparing for a Claymore Kick, but WWE officials got in the ring and broke it up. Then Drew eventually got free and delivered a Claymore Kick on Jey Uso anyway.
This episode will also be the final week that WWE RAW will be a two-hour show. They will be back to a three-hour show on Netflix, and it will also be uncensored. Only time will tell what big moments are in the future.
