AEW fans saw Kenny Omega finally return to the fold at AEW Worlds End on Saturday. His first match back in AEW is yet to be booked, but he already has a battle in store for him against Gabe Kidd in Japan. That has given Kidd an open door to take as many shots at Omega as he wants.
In a video released by NJPW, Gabe Kidd criticized Kenny Omega and expressed thoughts on Omega’s unhappiness in AEW. He suggested that if The Cleaner isn’t happy in AEW, then he should leave Tony Khans’ company.
Like many other things, Gabe Kidd did not sugarcoat anything. In fact, he let loose in another profanity ornamented statement saying that he doesn’t care about what Kenny Omega brings to the table, as he also threw shade about how unhappy Omega is in AEW.
“I don’t care about this Kenny Omega touch. Whatever you think you’re doing, giving me a match at the Dome. I don’t need you. I don’t need you. He’s unhappy at his workplace. Well, leave then. You’re the president there. You’re a vice president there. If you’re not happy, f*** off.”
When it comes to his expectations for his match with Kenny Omega, Gabe Kidd was quite honest. He expects that there will be some stiff shots, and he promised to really mess up Kenny Omega during their contest.
“I expect he’ll get some receipts. I agreed to do the match because I’m a professional, but he’s gonna catch some serious licks in there regardless. I’m gonna f*** him up for what he did because I never envisioned this or saw things going down like this. So I’ll do the match, but he’s gonna know that he’s f***ed up, and I’m going there to hurt him at the end of the day.”
Gabe Kidd will face Kenny Omega on Sunday, January 5, at Wrestle Dynasty. The event will take place at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. Naturally, fans all around the world will tune in with a lot of interest for this match.
We will have to see if Gabe Kidd makes his way to AEW for a battle there. After all, he’s thrown some serious shade at the company and their roster in recent memory. Obviously, he’s not afraid to upset anyone and all the heat that comes with it.
