Another familiar face was seen backstage at AEW’s Worlds End pay-per-view.
Ringside News previously reported that AJ Francis and Baron Corbin (Tom Pestock) were both backstage at the event, but that wasn’t all. Tyler Breeze, a fan-favorite from his WWE days, was also in attendance.
The 36-year-old Breeze hasn’t been an active competitor in recent months, but sources indicated to Fightful Select he was simply visiting friends as he lives in the area. Breeze, who left WWE in 2021, took a couple of years off from in-ring action before stepping back into the ring for about 20 matches between July 2023 and September 2024.
Despite his sporadic wrestling schedule, those close to Breeze say he’s thriving outside of the wrestling business. With a successful career beyond the ring, Breeze reportedly only competes when he feels like it, proving he’s in full control of his career and priorities.
Seeing former WWE stars backstage at AEW events often sparks speculation about possible returns or debuts, but for now, it looks like Tyler Breeze was just there to catch up with old friends and soak in the Worlds End atmosphere.
