Rey Mysterio Pens Emotional Tribute to Uncle Rey Misterio Sr. After His Passing

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio truly loves his family and he suffered a great loss recently as his uncle, the legendary Rey Misterio Sr. passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 66, and now Rey Mysterio has penned an emotional letter to his recently departed uncle.

Rey Mysterio took to his Instagram and shared a heartfelt message, expressing the difficulty of processing the loss. Mysterio reflected on the double blow of losing his uncle as well as father in a month, acknowledging the challenge of coming to terms with it. Despite the pain, he took comfort in the memories they shared, especially their time together in the wrestling ring.

Mysterio honored his uncle for paving the way for wrestling in their family, recognizing the sacrifices he made to ensure that future generations could follow in his footsteps. He promised to carry the name of the “3 Misterios” proudly and always honor his uncle’s legacy in the ring.
