Matt Cardona was definitely making headlines thanks to his feud with Chris Jericho over the ROH World Championship. Cardona would end up suffering an injury at ROH Final Battle and he has now confirmed the severity of the injury as well.

The Indy God took to Twitter and announced that he won’t be appearing at the GCW show in Seattle tonight against Super Crazy at Washington Hall. He explained that he injured his ankle last weekend at ROH Final Battle. While the injury isn’t serious and he’s already feeling better, he decided it’s best to rest for another week to ensure he starts 2025 strong.

“Sorry…I won’t be on this GCW show tonight in Seattle. I messed up my ankle last weekend at ROH. It’s not serious and I’m feeling much better…but I think it’s smart to let it rest for another week and start off 2025 HOT!”

Matt Cardona’s night at ROH Final Battle didn’t end well. After his loss to Chris Jericho, he had to be assisted backstage due to an ankle injury. He was later seen using crutches, though the severity of the injury wasn’t clear at the time but thankfully, Cardona confirmed it’s nothing serious.
