AEW has a lot of things planned for Worlds End. 2024 could close up with a huge return for Kenny Omega, and it would be a long time coming if that does go down tonight. That being said, this article contains possible spoilers for tonight’s pay-per-view.
Kenny Omega has been out of action after a case of diverticulitis in 2023. At one point during the height of his illness, Kenny Omega’s medical crisis was given a reported 50% chance of death.
Kenny Omega confirmed a few months ago that he was not medically cleared for a return to the ring. It appears that his status has changed, and Worlds End may see his return to the fold.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Kenny Omega was set for a return at Worlds end in recent weeks. That being said, they have not learned any more since then.
We will have to see what happens with Kenny Omega. His grand return could go down at Worlds End. Only time will tell how Tony Khan books The Cleaner’s comeback when the time finally comes.
Prior to Kenny Omega’s diverticulitis hiatus in December 2023, things were looking good for the former AEW World Champion. Omega inked a new multi-year deal with AEW a few months beforehand, so he will likely return with plenty of time left on his deal with Tony Khan’s company.
