AEW’s Worlds End 2024 aired live from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida. The main event featured the AEW World Title on the line in a fatal four-way match. After that match was over, Tony Khan’s company had another surprise in store.

The AEW World Championship Fatal Four-Way featured Jon Moxley defending against Orange Cassidy, Jay White, and Adam Page. This was a big way for AEW to conclude their final pay-per-view of 2024.

Jon Moxley has led the Death Riders on a path of destruction in recent memory. He walked into AEW Worlds End with a tremendous amount of confidence, thanks to his winning streak due to his brutal tactics. That winning strategy was often peppered with underhanded activities as well.

This was the main event of the night, right after Kenny Omega made his long-awaited return to the company. That came after Kazuchika Okada pulled down the 2024 Continental Classic finals.

Orange Cassidy almost won the AEW World Title at AEW Full Gear 2024, but Jon Moxley was able to defeat Freshly Squeezed with the help of his stable. Then Cassidy got another shot at the title at Worlds End, but he would have to win with even greater odds against him. Sadly, he did not pull down the title in Orlando at Worlds End.

There was a lot going on in this fatal four-way match, with action going down in the ring and in the crowd. This was also a No DQ match, which only added to the chaos. There were a ton of big spots and dramatic moments, including several close near falls along the way, including Wheeler Yuta jumping in the ring to take out the referee to prevent Jay White from getting a pinfall.

In the end, Jon Moxley got the win in clean fashion after nailing a Death Rider DDT on Jay White. That cemented the fact that Moxley will go into 2025 as AEW World Champion, with no real sign of that reign ending any time soon.

However, Jon Moxley’s plans at the conclusion of the night were ruined. As the Death Riders were about to lay waste to their opponents that night, FTR made their way out. They were soon followed by Adam Copeland as he made his big return to AEW television.

FTR nailed a Shatter Machine when they got in the ring, and then Adam Copeland stood face-to-face with Jon Moxley as fans in Orlando chanted “holy sh*t.” Then Copeland nailed a spear on Moxley as Christian Cage and his faction watched on from the crowd.

After that, Adam Copeland cut a short promo directed at Jon Moxley. He made it clear that Rated FTR is taking over.
