John Cena is gearing up for his retirement tour with WWE, and that will undoubtably include some big marquee matches. Only time will tell what they book for Cena’s final WrestleMania match, but one high profile contest is not going to happen. That being said, the company is still considering having John Cena make history while they still have him available.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter on rumors about John Cena’s WrestleMania plans. After all, WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas will be Cena’s last showing on the grandest stage of them all.

It was noted that there were likely talks of John Cena vs. Logan Paul, and Logan Paul requested the match. However, it is confirmed that this will not happen, but WWE is still considering an even bigger moment for Super Cena.

Dave Meltzer also wrote that John Cena challenging for a world title to surpass Ric Flair’s record of 16 reigns was a possibility as of last month. This could be a huge moment for Cena’s career, and he has also not dismissed the idea of this possibility.

Logan Paul might have wanted to lock up with John Cena at WrestleMania 41, but that apparently is not on the table anymore. At this point, Paul vs Cena may be a highlight during the 16x World Champion’s final run with WWE in 2025, but it’s not a Mania match.
