Cody Rhodes might be bringing his star power to Tampa this Friday for WWE SmackDown.

After picking up a victory against Kevin Owens at WWE’s live event in Jacksonville on December 26, the American Nightmare grabbed the mic and left fans with a tantalizing tease.

“I don’t think I’ll miss Tampa for SmackDown,” Cody told the crowd, sparking immediate speculation about his potential appearance on WWE’s blue brand this week. The comment comes on the heels of Rhodes being off television since his brutal post-match beatdown by Kevin Owens during Saturday Night’s Main Event.

While no official matches or segments have been announced for this week’s SmackDown, Cody’s presence would add a serious boost to the show as WWE builds momentum heading into its Netflix debut and the Royal Rumble.
