Time has a way of healing wounds, but it also doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier. Amanda Huber recently reflected on the anniversary of the hardest day of her life when she lost her husband, the Exalted One, Brodie Lee.
Brodie Lee passed away on December 26, 2020, at the age of 41-years-old. He is still missed by millions of fans all around the world, and his wife, Amanda Huber, received a ton of support since his tragic passing. She has also dropped a few tributes in the process.
On the four-year anniversary of Brodie Lee’s passing, Amanda Huber logged onto Instagram and X, where she released a touching write-up as part of a story on the social media platform.
“I’ve spent all day trying to wrap my brain around the fact that it’s been 4 years.”
“4 years since the worst day of my life. 4 years when the incredible team at Mayo helped me say goodbye. I’ll never ever forget the nurses who got me thru those months. Especially the ones who held me when we said goodbye. But I can’t wrap my head around the fact that it’s been 4 years since everything changed.”
Amanda Huber went on to write that, “it somehow feels like it was just yesterday but also like a lifetime ago, while also feeling like a story I once read but wasn’t actually mind.” Brodie Lee’s widow also noted that “time is weird.”
Huber also noted how angry she is that Brodie Lee is gone, because he can’t watch their sons grow up. He will certainly be missed for many reasons by the entire pro wrestling world for a long, long time to come.
She then wrapped up her tribute by writing, “I’d give almost anything to have one more day. To let the boys have one more day. To hear him laugh. To thank him for our boys and for leaving a legacy they could be proud of. To tell him how much I love him.“
This is a sad time for Brodie Lee’s family, as they still process the great loss and hole that he left in their lives when he passed away. Amanda Huber has a ton of photos to cherish those memories, but that doesn’t change how time has gone on to do a lot to make the situation even harder to get through.
