WWE Eyeing Hammerstein Ballroom for Upcoming NXT Event

WWE NXT has only continued to grow over the past year under Shawn Michaels’ vision and it’s very apparent that the company has big plans for the developmental brand next year as well. In fact, there have been internal discussions about holding NXT tapings at the Hammerstein Ballroom as well.

According to PWInsider, there has been talk about NXT tapings possibly happening next year in Nashville and at The Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. However, it’s unclear if any official dates have been set.

The Hammerstein Ballroom has been in great demand over the past few weeks, as AEW has held shows there for their Collision as well as Dynamite tapings and even their ROH Final Battle pay-per-view for good measure.

NXT held an episode of their weekly show at the iconic ECW Arena earlier this year, so it is clear they are willing to embrace the spirit of ECW once again for a taping at The Hammerstein Ballroom next year.

NXT’s willingness to explore high-profile venues is simply proof of its growing popularity and the company’s confidence in its product. If these plans come to fruition, fans could witness unforgettable moments in a venue that has hosted some of wrestling’s most iconic events.
