Sabu has endured a career filled with physical punishment, resulting in numerous hospital visits and serious back injuries from his time in professional wrestling. Despite the toll on his body, Sabu has now confirmed he still plans on continuing his pro wrestling career for a while.
While speaking to DonutShopChronicles, Sabu was asked about his future in professional wrestling. Sabu acknowledged his age and said he could manage another year on a hard schedule or two years on a lighter one, making it clear he still has a few matches left in him.
“I’d like to wrestle forever, but I know I can’t. I’m getting a lot older. Probably another year, maybe two years. I can do another hard schedule for a year. I can do an easy schedule for two years.”
While he has continued making appearances on the independent scene, including notable moments with GCW, Sabu also appeared for AEW in 2023, cornering Adam Cole during his match against Chris Jericho at Double or Nothing.
Sabu also noted that GCW wants him to have his final match in the promotion. Sabu’s fans will definitely treasure the remaining chances to see him perform in the ring. Whether he takes on a demanding schedule or a lighter one, his dedication to wrestling solidifies his legacy as one of the industry’s living legends and that’s never changing.
