The countdown is on for WWE Raw’s historic move to Netflix, and it’s clear the January 6, 2025 episode won’t just be business as usual.
WWE Director of Character Development Rob Fee recently hyped up the massive transition during an appearance on Dead Meat Presents, comparing the premiere to the company’s biggest annual event.
“You guys should definitely try to go to that show,” Fee said. “It’s gonna be WrestleMania-adjacent. You have to go. If there’s one show to go to, it’s this one.”
The buzz is real, and the star power backing this landmark episode is off the charts. Headlining the night will be CM Punk squaring off against Seth Rollins—a match years in the making. Punk himself called Raw’s move to Netflix a game-changer, emphasizing its potential to attract new audiences and make WWE’s flagship show accessible to millions more around the world.
But the Netflix debut isn’t just about Punk and Rollins. WWE is pulling out all the stops for its first impression on its new platform. The episode will feature appearances from some of WWE’s biggest names, including Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Logan Paul, and Roman Reigns. Adding to the drama, John Cena is set to kick off his farewell tour, and fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of former AEW standout Penta El Zero Miedo, as teased in recent vignettes.
With so many marquee names and electrifying storylines in the mix, WWE is treating its Netflix premiere as much more than a simple broadcast shift. This is an opportunity to redefine what Raw can be and solidify its place as a must-watch global phenomenon.
